So you’ve heard the saying, “money can’t buy happiness” right? Well in some cases, money actually can buy you happiness. People often think that money is bad or talking about your finances is taboo, or rich people are evil because they have money. That’s nuts! I don’t think money is bad at all. I think it’s smart to have lots of money and learn creative ways to make more!

Grant Cardone always says, “The people who think money is bad, are the people who don’t have any.”

Honestly, I think he’s right. How can you expect to become a millionaire or be financially free if your relationship with money is bad? It just doesn’t make sense.

So I’ve created a list below for you to wipe the slate clean with your negative relationship with money. And start looking at the great things you can do with money!

Here are 6 ways money can buy happiness.

Money can buy experiences

What would you rather have, a brand new car, or travel anywhere you want in the world? They are both experiences right? But I feel like one experience would last a lifetime and the other one would wear off after a while. I would definitely spend money on new experiences and not things.

Money helps eliminate financial stress

Ok, this is a no-brainer. Obviously, if you have more money, you’ll be more financially secure and not have to worry about how to pay this off, or where to get the money for that, and so on. Money helps you relax and stops you from living pay-check to paycheck.

Money lets’s being frugal a choice

I noticed that the more money I started to make, the more I would spend it less on clutter. However before, I would just spend it like crazy on whatever I wanted without even thinking twice! I learned really quickly that to become wealthy, you need to learn how to generate wealth as well as maintain it. When there is more money in your bank account, you tend to be less wasteful with it and spend it less on unnecessary things you don’t need.

Money makes you more humble

I don’t know if this is true for all, but it definitely is true for me. I found that when I didn’t have lots of money, I didn’t care for it and I felt like I was entitled to everything. But when I started making more money, I found that I had more appreciation for it and that made me more humble with my money. I found that I respected money a lot more and didn’t spend it carelessly.

Money lets you help others

Charity, food bank or even helping out a friend, it’s an amazing feeling to be able to do that. The appreciation you receive back from others is the best feeling ever!

Money lets you live the life you want

What would you do if money wasn’t a problem? Would you travel full-time? Would you play golf all day? Would you spend more time with your family? Money lets you live the life you want. That’s what Fire and A Beer is all about too! Helping people get to that life they always wanted to live. You only live once so why not live exactly the way you want!

I think that money shouldn’t be so taboo to talk about. Whether it’s a problem or it’s a success in your life, money should always be talked about. I think that’s a great way to start making more of it. That’s the biggest money problem with most people…that they don’t have enough money.

The first step to fixing your problem is to identify what your problem is. And you can’t really do that until you talk about it.

I strongly believe that life doesn’t have to be that way, and your life doesn’t have to be run by whether or not you have enough money. You can actually have your cake and eat it too! 🙂

For me, starting a blog is what helps me get to a point where I am able to enjoy my life to the fullest. Without having to worry if I have enough money or not. It’s all about how much you are willing to work to change your situation and live the way you really want!
